The Guerilla has Left the Building

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Welcome back to normalcy, if that’s what you call it around here.

The whole DHPVWco stuff was an experiment of sorts. We wanted to come up with a different way (for us anyway) of putting a video out. The posts preceding the Bug-o-rama video contained bits and pieces intended to make the video make more sense to folks. We’re not sure it worked, but it sure was fun and since that really is what we’re about we thought it was great.

We would like to say Thank You! to Scott and Thayer over at lowlifevw.com They were made aware of what was going on long after it was started but they just played along and we all had a proper laugh. :) Lowlife is the forum home of DHP so we support them and we love the misfits that roam it’s boards.

Another thanks to all the DHP guys that helped in the video shoot which is all of them. It’s the DHP crew that makes everything possible so big thanks for all the suits and bad lines and overall good times.

There will probably be similar campaigns in the future so just remember…not much of what you see on this site is serious…That’s just not who we are. That being said you can always expect the different and the creative coming from DHP….that’s how we get down.

DHPVWco schedules press conference

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

A press conference has been scheduled for Tuesday April 16th at 12 p.m. by DHPVWco. It is assumed that the announcement is related to the recent negotiations with Lowlifevw.com.

AP Reports Heated Negotiations Underway

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

Apr. 12–Financially pressed Lowlifevw.com is entering into difficult, heated negotiations for continued independence with DHPVWco, which represent more than 90 percent of the website group’s 1,000,000 posters.

Neither side has offered specific site value estimates, but a bitter point of contention is an early budget proposal for next year in which $52 was lopped off random picture thread posts revenue.

“We just think that’s crazy,” said Peter Krause, a DHPVWco executive who heads the Hostile Take-over Acquisitions group of DHPVWco. “We recognize Lowlife is under financial constraints, but we don’t want the budget to be balanced on the back of the posters.”

The secret negotiations are being held at Sofitel The Grand Amsterdam Oudezijds Voorburgwal 197 , 1012 EX in Amsterdam, room 12. It has been rumored that Krause and Lowlife’s Thayer started a bar fight that rendered a lowlifer’s eye partially useless. Though talks are ongoing the prognosis is grim as it is DHPVWco’s practice to negotiate to their advantage or use their considerable financial strength to strong arm their potential targets into submission.

DHPVWco gets more hostile towards Lowlifevw

Friday, April 11th, 2008

DHPVWco is preparing to raise the hostility in its bid to takeover Lowlifevw according to the New York Times’ DealBook. The next move is to authorize a proxy fight this week which then enables DHPVWco to nominate its own board of directors for Lowlifevw by April 13th.

Such a move is possible because Lowlifevw does not have a staggered board, where different directors go up for re-election at different times. All of its board members are up for election this year. DHPVWco would just need to obtain a relative majority of the votes cast to put its own nominees in place. This new board could then approve DHPVWco’s initial offer.

This move is actually a much cheaper alternative for DHPVWco as opposed to raising its bid. A raise of just $1 from the current $2-a-share offer would cost the company $1.4 bagillion dollars. By contrast, this proxy fight will cost DHPVWco just $20 to $30.

Speculation had been that DHPVWco wanted to avoid taking such a hostile approach as it runs the risk of alienating - or losing - many of the current Lowlifevw posters if it was to succeed in its takeover attempt. However, Chad McCulskey also said yesterday that DHPVWco currently has no plans to up its current offer to Lowlifevw, which it still views as a very fair deal.

It is rumored that heavy negotiations between Lowlife rep Thayer and the executive board in charge of hostile take-overing of DHPVWco are taking place at this very moment.

DHPVWco Strike Imminent

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

TUCSON: DHPVWco, the Arizona fun producing VW Club giant, made a hostile bid Friday for a Web based company, underscoring DHPVWco’s ambition to secure third parties to support its economic boom.

DHPVWco made a bid of 954 dollars, or ~2000 euros, for LowLifeVW.com, marking the first hostile takeover attempt by a VW Club in Arizona based internet site history. It is a milestone in DHPVWco’s shift from taking stakes in individual projects to buying entities that own the posts, analysts said.

LowLifeVW responded by asking posters to “take no action” until it had evaluated the offer.

LowLIfeVW shares rose 31 percent to 1.43 dollars on news of the offer but were still trading below the 1.60-dollar bid price, which values LowLifeVW at $89,956 dollars.

DHPVWco already owns 19.9 percent of LowLifeVW posts.

Growth Through Acquisition

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Since DHPVWco came into existence our executive team is often asked why our team leads seem driven by profits and growth. In today’s market the path to fun is clear. By staying focused on our buying power and fiscal management responsibilities we are positive we can achieve extremely high levels of fun.

That being said DHPVWco is looking into the acquisition of other VW enthusiast entities. The weaker organizations that show trends in poor fiscal management are potential targets for DHPVWco. Our pursuit of fun is unheralded in this market so our ability to purchase and reorganize failing entities surpasses all others. To answer the larger question we have some selected reading. (more…)

Executive Fired

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

TUCSON — Matthew Kaiser was dropped Thursday as senior executive CFO of DHPVWco after only six days on the job.

The controversial veteran has suffered from reports of verbal abuse towards subordinates during his tenure. Tales of “Vicious Tongue-lashings” at The DHP Compound had at least twice made the New York Post’s Page Six, most recently on Thursday. His last day in the office was Monday although he didn’t work.

Taking over temporarily will be Steve Weller, who is the executive administrator in charge of fair trade. He’ll remain in that job, too, though he’ll devote the majority of his time immediately to matters of finance and fiscal responsibilty with an emphasis on integrity and fun beginning with the 3:15 a.m. wake-up call this morning.

“Steve has built an exceptionally strong senior team within DHPVWco, and the finances will be in very capable hands until he returns full-time to the Trade sector,’ ” DHPVWco president Chad McCulskey said in a statement Thursday.

McCulskey declined a request for an interview.

DHPVWco’s Six Sigma initiative. Code Name: Diamond Head

Monday, April 7th, 2008

As of 4/6/08 DHPVWco is officially pursuing Six Sigma status as a corporation. This initiative is one that we feel will bring DHPVWco inline with today’s “out of the box” thinking. As fun is our main goal we feel that Six Sigma status will enable us to achieve levels of fun like no other VW club ever has. In order to make the readers of this blog familiar with Six Sigma and why it is indeed the road to fun we have included some selected reading from “The Six Sigma Revolution” By Thomas Pyzdek, author of The Six Sigma Handbook

Important Announcement DHPVW has been Usurped

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

Over the last 5 years our club has seen many changes. Our growth has come through sound business decisions and major acquisitions. Though our standing in the global VW community is firmly established our trustees met after reviewing the annual report and they decided to accept one of many offers on the table.

Through the merger of DHP and Globadine Industries we feel we will be able to demonstrate true VW club enthusiasm and maintain a more fiscally responsible portfolio for our investors.

So…It is with great pleasure that we announce the formation of DHPVWco.

There will be more announcements on this soon. As we recognize your desire to know how this impacts you.
